Your children's photo shoot will be a fun occasion and something everyone will take great pleasure from. I do everything to ensure that you have a relaxed and fun experience while we spend our time together. As well as being a photographer I'm a father of two, and I know how to entertain and connect with even the shyest little ones (and big ones!), so they feel comfortable and happy in front of the camera. I have a few jokes, activities and tricks to get the natural smiles and giggles out of them during the photo shoot so photographs show great expressions that display the true essense of what makes your family and children so special.
These relaxed and fun children's photo shoots capture their character and expressions in beautiful images. My approach is very relaxed and unrushed to allow natural and spontaneous expressions to come through in the photographs - The results speak for themselves giving the best photographs for you to treasure forever as they become a talking point by all who admire them! Photography can be studio based or at a favourite outside location or just at home in your garden in Harrogate, Leeds, York, Ripon and other Yorkshire areas.

This family lifestyle photo shoot is a longer session and focuses on capturing fun family interactions and natural spontaneous moments in addition to set portraits.
Up to 1.5 hours and can take place in and outside the Harrogate area
Great for capturing a fun day out with lots of images to make a photobook!

Photo Shoot Details
option 1 - Family Mini Session - Location Portraits - These are 45 minute sessions at an outside location with natural and colourful surroundings in the background of the photographs. The photo shoot covers set portraits of each person and a combination of group portraits.
option 2 & 3 - Family Lifestyle Photo Shoots - These are great outside sessions that cover standard portraits plus a focus on capturing family interactions and great moments where more spontaneous actions and natural expressions are photographed.
About the location photo shoots
Your children's photo shoot will be a relaxed and fun experience, resulting in a range of natural photographs. During your session I do give direction to ensure they are all in the most flattering light and positions for the photographs. The best portrait and lifestyle shoots take place outdoors with the colourful surroundings, fresh air and natural light that all come together to create a beautiful and timeless set of family photographs that you will cherish forever!
The areas I cover
I am based in Harrogate and travel to York, Leeds, Skipton, Ripon and other Yorkshire areas. Outside locations around the Harrogate area that are ideal for family photographs are Harlow Carr Gardens, Fountains Abbey, Studley Royal Deer Park, Newby Hall, Brimham Rocks and Harewood House to name a few.
If the shoot is on location what about the weather?
My promise - If the weather is not ideal on the day I am happy to reschedule to another date at no extra charge. During the booking process we will put two dates in the diary so there is a backup date available if there is a poor forecast on the first date.
